The ongoing expansion and modernization of Braunschweig‘s municipal hospital was featured on ‘Hallo Niedersachsen’, the daily news show on NDR – Norddeutscher Rundfunk on 12 January.
Under construction since 2020, the project encompasses two phases which will be linked by a main thoroughfare that offers both natural light and views of lushly planted courtyards and gardens. The design by HENN and C.F. Møller Architects integrates and capitalizes on the healing benefits of architecture and nature, representing the future of health architecture. The new central emergency room is expected to be the largest in Lower Saxony, and will be able to process more than 60,000 patients per year.
